Jenny Cook, MS, OT
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST
Jenny has worked as an occupational therapist for over 18 years across several settings including hospital and outpatient-based neurological rehabilitation, mental health clinics, and schools. She has had the privilege of collaborating with and learning from hundreds of amazing therapists, doctors, counselors, and clients. Jenny believes meaningful play and trusted relationships are essential to building skills with children. It is also her favorite part of the job!
Jenny seeks to empower children and their families by helping them develop the skills they need to enjoy meaningful participation in daily life. Jenny delights in making tasks fun and engaging by pairing activities with a child’s strengths and interests. Her favorite nickname that a student once gave her was “the obstacle course lady” and it is still lovingly used by some colleagues to this day.
When she is not building obstacle courses, Jenny enjoys taking nature walks with her family and getting lost in stories with her two children. She loves creative projects including oil painting, writing poetry, and building habitats for butterflies and pollinators in her native flower garden.
